Privacy Policy for TrackedSnap

        Your Privacy Matters: TrackedSnap is designed with privacy in mind. Your photos, project records, location, and orientation data stay on your device unless you choose to save or share them. Apple and RevenueCat process subscription information to provide and restore Premium access.
    

1. Information We Collect

TrackedSnap collects and stores the following data locally on your device only:

Photos: Images captured using the app's camera feature
GPS Coordinates: Latitude and longitude data to tag photo locations
Device Orientation: Pitch, roll, and yaw measurements to help align photos consistently
Photo Metadata: Date, time, and file path information for organizing your projects
User Preferences: App settings like theme choice and quality preferences

2. How We Use Your Information

The data collected is used solely for the following purposes:

Core Functionality: Enable photo capture, organization, and progress tracking
Location Tagging: Associate photos with physical locations for project documentation
Orientation Alignment: Help you capture photos from consistent angles
User Experience: Remember your preferences and settings

3. Data Storage and Security

Project records are stored locally on your device using iOS Core Data
Photos are saved to your device's internal storage, not uploaded to any server
"Save to Photos" is on by default: each photo you keep is also saved to your iOS Photos app. You can turn it off in Settings.
If you turn on iCloud Backup (Premium), a copy of your projects and photos is stored in the app's private folder in your own iCloud Drive. We cannot access that folder.
We do not receive your project photos or precise location data
Subscription information is sent to RevenueCat as described below
Your data is protected by your device's security features (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID)

4. Data Sharing

We use RevenueCat to verify purchases, restore subscriptions, and measure subscription performance. RevenueCat receives purchase history and an anonymous app customer identifier. We do not send it your photos, project names, GPS coordinates, or orientation measurements.

Your photos and project data can leave the app when you:

Use the Share button to send photos via email, messages, or other apps
Save photos to your Photos library, which may sync through your Apple iCloud settings
Export project data using the app's export features
Turn on iCloud Backup, which stores a copy in your own iCloud Drive

To show place names and maps, the app sends a photo's coordinates to Apple's map services. Apple's privacy policy applies to that request. We do not receive it.

Creator Codes and Video Submissions

If you enter a creator code, we store a random app identifier, the code, and subscription payment and refund records in Supabase. We use these records to calculate creator commissions. We do not send your project photos or location with creator-code requests.

If you submit a video for a Pro reward, we upload that video to private storage in Supabase for our review. We store your sharing permission, submission date, review result, and reward record. Only submit videos you own and have permission to share. With your permission, we may edit and repost approved videos on TrackedSnap social media accounts to promote the app.

Video submissions are optional. A submission does not start a paid subscription. Existing Apple subscriptions continue to renew until you cancel them through Apple. Contact support@trackedsnap.com with questions about a submission or to request removal from future use. Financial records may be retained where required for accounting.

5. Permissions We Request

TrackedSnap requires the following iOS permissions:

Camera: To capture progress photos
Location (When In Use): To tag photos with GPS coordinates
Photo Library: To optionally save photos to your Photos app
Motion & Orientation: To help align photos with device tilt sensors

You can revoke these permissions at any time in iOS Settings → TrackedSnap.

6. Children's Privacy

TrackedSnap does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app is rated 4+ and does not contain objectionable content. However, it is designed for project documentation and is more suitable for adults and professionals.

7. Analytics and Tracking

RevenueCat provides subscription analytics, including purchases, renewals, and cancellations. TrackedSnap does not use advertising tracking or send project activity, photos, or precise location to an analytics service.

8. In-App Purchases

If you purchase a premium subscription:

Payment is processed by Apple through the App Store
We receive a notification that you have an active subscription, but not your payment details
Apple's privacy policy applies to payment information
RevenueCat validates subscription status and caches it on your device for access checks

9. Data Retention

Your local project data is retained on your device until:

You manually delete projects, views, or photos
You use the "Clear All Data" option in Settings (Debug mode)
You uninstall the app (all data is automatically deleted by iOS)

10. Your Rights

You can manage your local project data within the app:

Access: View all your data within the app
Delete: Remove individual photos, views, or entire projects
Export: Share or export your photos and project data
Portability: Save photos to your Photo Library for use in other apps

11. Subscription Data Requests

Contact us using the address below for requests concerning subscription information. Removing the app or local photos does not cancel an App Store subscription or automatically delete purchase records held by Apple or RevenueCat. You can manage your subscription in your Apple Account settings.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes in:

App features (e.g., adding cloud sync)
Legal requirements
Privacy best practices

We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

13. Third-Party Services

TrackedSnap currently uses the following third-party components:

UIOnboarding Library: For displaying the welcome screen (open-source, no data collection)
Apple StoreKit: For processing in-app purchases (subject to Apple's privacy policy)
Apple Maps: For maps and place names (subject to Apple's privacy policy)
Apple iCloud Drive: For iCloud Backup, only if you turn it on (subject to Apple's privacy policy)
RevenueCat: For subscription validation, restoration, access management, and subscription analytics. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

No advertising SDKs are used. RevenueCat processes subscription information as described above.
